I have recently begun to interview many of the industry professionals about ways that they are using their positions as librarians and booksellers to encourage young adults and children to read. I am learning a lot and will be updating everyone as soon as I can. I am very excited about this series, as it will highlight the efforts that are successful in encouraging young readers to continue along the path of lifelong reading! If you are a professional and would like to be interviewed for this series, please contact Gina Rizzo, or comment on the site, and we will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible! Happy reading, everyone!
It's so important to draw attention to reading, and attract reluctant readers to it,especially boys.
I grew up as a reluctant reader, in spite of the fact that my father published over 70 books. Now I write action-adventures & mysteries, especially for tween boys, that avid boy readers and girls enjoy just as much.
My blog, Books for Boys http://booksandboys.blogspot.com is dedicated to drawing attention to the importance of reading.
Keep up your good work.
